Al-Nouri Charity: $600,000 to support urgent needs in Gaza

The chairman of the board of directors of the Al-Nouri Charity Association, Engineer Jamal Al-Nouri, told KUNA during the signing ceremony on Sunday that the agreement is a continuation of the association’s approach of building strategic partnerships with international humanitarian institutions to ensure that aid reaches its intended beneficiaries efficiently and effectively, meeting the basic needs of affected families in the Gaza Strip.
He clarified that the project will provide 51,429 cubic meters of clean water delivered by trucks, sufficient to meet the needs of approximately 40,000 beneficiaries for 257 days, alongside supporting the repair and maintenance of water desalination plants and wells to serve around 1.5 million beneficiaries. Additionally, it will provide the necessary medical supplies to operate the field hospital for six months, benefiting approximately 40,000 patients.
He added that the association is keen to direct donors’ contributions to high-impact projects that achieve direct and sustainable effects in the lives of those affected, emphasizing that partnerships with international humanitarian organizations help expand the impact of charitable work and deliver aid according to the highest standards of efficiency and transparency.
For her part, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Regional Delegation, Anne Montavon, affirmed that this partnership reflects the importance of cooperation with charitable institutions to meet humanitarian needs.
Montavon stated that the support provided by Al-Nouri Charity will contribute to continuing the implementation of life-saving humanitarian programs for those affected by conflicts, particularly in the fields of healthcare and access to clean water.
She praised the leading role played by the State of Kuwait in supporting humanitarian causes at both the regional and international levels, commending the initiatives and effective programs offered by Kuwait’s charitable sector, which help alleviate the suffering of those affected and enhance emergency responses in various crisis areas.
