stc Conducts a Simulated Evacuation of Its Main Building in Kuwait City Tower

Kuwait’s leading telecommunications company, stc, which spearheads digital transformation and delivers innovative services and platforms to customers in Kuwait, announced a simulated evacuation of its main building at the Capital Tower. The exercise was conducted in collaboration with the General Directorate of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior and the Medical Emergency Administration at the Ministry of Health, with the participation of company employees, aiming to enhance the readiness of response teams and raise awareness of safety procedures in emergency situations.

The simulated evacuation took place in the presence of representatives from the General Directorate of Civil Defense, who oversaw the implementation of the evacuation plan and verified its compliance with standards and regulations approved by official authorities, ensuring the safety of all company employees in unexpected and emergency circumstances.

In a statement, stc clarified that the simulated evacuation is part of its risk management strategy. The company is committed to implementing all Civil Defense requirements, including appointing employee guides on each floor to supervise evacuation operations, providing directional signage at entrances and exits, and ensuring the readiness of safety systems such as alarms, internal loudspeakers, fire hoses, and smoke detectors. Additionally, the company has designated assembly points and emergency exits, and conducts regular training sessions for employees on first aid.
