Kadifla asks Trump for help after being denied entry to the US

Madrid – Reuters – Former Spanish defender Juan Capdevila has appealed to U.S. President Donald Trump for help after his request to enter the United States to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and defending champions Argentina was rejected.

Capdevila, a member of Spain’s 2010 World Cup-winning squad in South Africa, said his application was denied because he participated in an exhibition match featuring Spanish league stars in Iran in 2016.

Capdevila said, “I was just informed that I cannot travel to the final with my children because my application for an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) was rejected.”

Obtaining an ESTA is a prerequisite for traveling to the United States without a visa.

He added, “Can anyone help me with this? You cannot imagine how excited I am to be there with all my teammates from the 2010 squad and to cheer for this team.”

Capdevila continued, “I can’t believe they are not allowing me to enter the United States. I will miss such a moment with my children, who love football very much.”
