Kuwait's Loss to Qatar in West Asia Volleyball

Muscat – KUNA – Kuwait’s men’s national volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Qatar on Saturday, concluding their campaign in Group 1 of the Second West Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship. The tournament, hosted in the Omani capital Muscat, began on July 21 and features seven national teams.
Kuwait had previously secured their first victory of the tournament with a 3-0 win over Syria. Qatar also defeated Syria, 3-1.
In Group 2, matches held over the past two days saw Iraq defeat Lebanon 3-0, while Saudi Arabia beat Oman 3-2 and Lebanon 3-1.
Following the conclusion of the group stage on Saturday, the knockout rounds begin on Monday. The schedule includes a match to determine fifth and sixth places between the third-placed teams from Group 1 and Group 2, as well as two semi-finals: the Group 1 winner will face the Group 2 runner-up, and the Group 2 winner will play the Group 1 runner-up. The championship will conclude on Tuesday with a match to determine third and fourth places, followed by the final.
