Ministry of Electricity: Cooperation between citizens and residents contributed to overcoming the exceptional phase and supporting system stability
Fatima Khayat, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation to citizens and residents, all government entities, state institutions, media outlets, and the private sector, as well as to everyone who contributed to disseminating awareness messages through social media platforms and messaging applications. She emphasized that this interaction and cooperation reflected a high level of societal awareness and an authentic spirit, manifested in the swift response and unity to serve the nation.
She clarified that the societal mobilization around the awareness messages, witnessed in the country yesterday and on Friday and Saturday, July 17 and 18, and the collective effort to repost and share them, had a direct impact in reaching the Ministry’s messages with the widest possible segment of society, thereby contributing to strengthening the culture of conservation during the exceptional phase the country is currently experiencing.
She affirmed that the commitment and cooperation of citizens and residents in conserving electricity consumption enabled the Ministry, by God’s grace, to overcome the difficult phase that the power system experienced yesterday and today. This effort had a noticeable effect in reducing electricity consumption below expected levels and contributed to supporting the technical teams’ efforts to maintain the stability of the power system and ensure service continuity.
She concluded by noting that the Ministry relies on the continuation of a shared sense of responsibility, calling on everyone to entrench the culture of conservation as a national and civilized behavior that contributes to protecting resources and maintaining the stability of both the electricity and water systems, thereby serving the public interest and ensuring the sustainability of services for all.
