Minister of Health Chairs Meeting of Ministry Leaders and Central Emergency Committee

Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Abdulwahab Al-Awadi held an expanded meeting today, Saturday, at the Crisis Center in the Diwan of the Ministry of Health, attended by Deputy Minister Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah, ministry leadership, directors of vital departments, and members of the Central Emergency Committee. The meeting aimed to monitor the latest developments in the current situation and assess the readiness of the health system across various sectors.
The meeting also discussed emergency response plans and coordination mechanisms among the ministry’s sectors, enhancing response speed, raising operational readiness levels, and continuously reviewing precautionary measures to keep pace with evolving circumstances and ensure the safety of patients and the uninterrupted continuity of health services.
The Minister of Health emphasized the importance of proactive readiness, ongoing field monitoring, and improved coordination among all ministry sectors, thereby enhancing performance efficiency and ensuring swift handling of any new developments in accordance with approved national plans.
He stressed that all hospitals, primary healthcare centers, and health facilities continue to provide their services normally, supported by comprehensive readiness among medical, technical, and administrative staff, as well as the continued availability of medicines, medical supplies, and strategic reserves. This underscores the health system’s capacity to continue fulfilling its mission efficiently and effectively.
This meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry of Health’s continuous monitoring of the current situation and its commitment to maintaining the highest levels of readiness, ensuring the sustainability of health services and the protection of public health.
