Kuwait Condemns the Blatant Iranian Aggression: Continuation of This Approach Represents a Highly Dangerous Escalation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strongest condemnation and rejection of the culpable Iranian aggression by missiles and drones that targeted Kuwaiti territory today, Friday, striking one of the power and water desalination plants, resulting in a fire and damaging several power generation units. This constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, as well as a grave breach of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026).
The Ministry emphasized that the continuation of this aggressive approach represents a highly dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability, constitutes a blatant challenge to international legitimacy, and undermines efforts aimed at de-escalation and achieving peaceful solutions. The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s inherent right to take the necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty and maintain its security and stability, in accordance with the provisions of international law.
