Kuwait: Iran bears responsibility for the heinous attacks and their consequences

As Iran persists in its baseless aggression against the State of Kuwait, the Kuwaiti Armed Forces have continued to counter hostile attacks while maintaining the highest levels of readiness. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reiterated its strong condemnation of the repeated attacks, placing full responsibility on Iran for their repercussions, and emphasizing Kuwait’s right to take all measures necessary to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
For the second time today, Thursday, the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces announced at 2:00 p.m. that air defenses intercepted hostile drone attacks following Iran’s baseless aggression.
In a statement, the General Headquarters noted that any audible explosions were the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks, urging everyone to comply with safety and security instructions issued by the competent authorities.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, announced that the Armed Forces had detected four cruise missiles and 21 hostile drones within the country’s airspace since dawn on Wednesday, and had engaged and intercepted them.
Al-Atwan stated in a statement to the Ministry of Defense that Iran’s baseless aggression resulted in attacks on vital facilities in the country, causing material damage without any recorded human casualties.
According to the statement, the total number of hostile assets detected since the start of Iran’s baseless aggression, through the end of Wednesday, amounted to 970 drones, 387 ballistic missiles, and 25 cruise missiles.
In the political sphere, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strongest condemnation of the continued baseless Iranian aggression against its territory, affirming that it represents a continuous aggressive approach and a blatant violation of the state’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, as well as a serious breach of international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026.
In a statement issued today, Thursday, the Ministry placed full responsibility on Iran for the continuation of these attacks and their consequences, emphasizing that persisting in this aggressive approach against Kuwait and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries exacerbates escalation and tension, undermining the security and stability of the region. It called on Iran to immediately cease these attacks.
In another statement, the Ministry expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and outrage over the baseless Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and Jordan, which constitute a blatant violation of their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and pose a direct threat to their security, stability, and the safety of their peoples.
In a separate statement, Kuwait affirmed its full solidarity with the two brotherly countries, standing by their side and supporting all measures they are taking to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
