Kuwait and the Arab League discuss enhancing cooperation and coordination

Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Talal Al-Mutairi, handed a reply letter from Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy during a meeting held at the League’s General Secretariat headquarters.

Ambassador Al-Mutairi told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday that the meeting addressed the close ties between Kuwait and the Arab League General Secretariat, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides, in support of joint Arab action and in response to the challenges facing the region.

He added that the meeting underscored the depth of relations between Kuwait and the Arab League, and Kuwait’s role in supporting joint Arab efforts, in line with its steadfast approach to strengthening Arab solidarity and consolidating cooperation among Arab states.

He emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation among Arab states amid the delicate circumstances the region is experiencing, in order to strengthen a unified Arab stance and enhance the capacity of Arab countries to address various political, security, and economic challenges.

He stressed the importance of activating mechanisms for joint Arab action and enhancing the role of the Arab League as the overarching framework for Arab coordination, and advancing further cooperation on issues of mutual interest, in a manner that serves the interests of Arab peoples and preserves the security and stability of the region.

Ambassador Al-Mutairi affirmed both sides’ commitment to maintaining communication and coordination between Kuwait and the Arab League General Secretariat, contributing to the progress of joint Arab action and realizing Arab states’ aspirations for greater integration and solidarity.
