The editor-in-chief of Al-Rai newspaper, colleague Waleed Al-Jassim, received the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharousi, on the occasion of the nearing end of his tenure as Oman’s ambassador to Kuwait. He is set to depart on the 30th of this month, after a six-year diplomatic career that he described as one of the most important and beautiful chapters of his professional life.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Kharousi praised the high professional standards of Al-Rai, affirming that it holds a special place in his heart and is the first newspaper he makes it a point to read every morning, due to its credibility, professionalism, and comprehensive coverage of local and regional events.
He expressed his pride in the period he spent in Kuwait, noting that the six years he spent in the country will remain etched in his heart and memory, owing to the warmth, generosity, and cooperation he experienced at both official and public levels. He emphasized that the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait made his diplomatic mission an exceptional experience that is hard to forget.
He stressed that Omani-Kuwaiti relations represent a distinguished model of Gulf relations based on mutual respect and continuous coordination, expressing his confidence in the continuation of these fraternal bonds in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
Ambassador Al-Kharousi also invited Kuwaiti citizens to visit the Sultanate and get to know firsthand its diverse tourism, natural, and cultural assets. He pointed out that it boasts unique tourist destinations ranging from mountains and valleys to beaches and deserts, alongside a rich civilizational heritage and advanced tourism infrastructure, making it an ideal destination for family tourism, adventure tourism, and relaxation alike.
For his part, Editor-in-Chief Waleed Al-Jassim appreciated the role played by Ambassador Al-Kharousi throughout his tenure in Kuwait and his efforts to strengthen fraternal relations between the two countries. He wished him continued success and achievement in his future endeavors, reaffirming Al-Rai’s commitment to continuing its media mission in supporting Omani-Kuwaiti relations and highlighting the close historical and fraternal ties that bind the two countries.
