Greek President: Iran's Attacks Violate International Law and Threaten Regional Security and Stability

KUNA – Greek President Konstantinos Tassoulas expressed his strong condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting Gulf states, with Kuwait at the forefront, affirming that “these countries pursue a policy based on peace and respect for international law, and that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of international law and a threat to the security and stability of the region.”

This statement came as President Tassoulas received, on Thursday, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Greece, Mohammed Al-Roumi, who presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in a formal ceremony held at the Presidential Mansion.

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Athens stated in a press release that Ambassador Al-Roumi conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, along with their best wishes for health and well-being to the President, and for continued progress and prosperity to the friendly Greek Republic and its people.

For his part, the Greek President requested that his greetings be conveyed to His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, and expressed his best wishes for Ambassador Al-Roumi’s success and effectiveness in carrying out his duties. He reaffirmed Greece’s commitment to continuing to strengthen friendship and cooperation with Kuwait in various fields, in a manner that serves the common interests of the two friendly nations.

According to the statement, Ambassador Al-Roumi expressed his deep pride in representing Kuwait in Greece, praising the close and enduring relations between the two friendly countries, which are rooted in a long history of civilizational and human interaction dating back to 1964.

He also emphasized his aspiration to work with the Greek government and all relevant authorities to elevate bilateral cooperation to broader horizons, building on achievements made in recent years to enhance shared interests and serve the aspirations of the two friendly nations.
