Al-Akhdar to Turkey Camp

Tomorrow, Friday, a delegation from the Al-Arabi Club’s football team will depart for Turkey to hold a training camp in preparation for the new season, which begins with a crucial match against Indian side East Bengal in the playoff round for the AFC Champions League Two group stage.
Tunisian fitness coach Khalil Jabbali will temporarily lead the “Green” team’s training sessions during the camp until the club finalizes a contract with the new head coach, who will replace national coach Nasser Al-Shatti.
Club management is intensifying its efforts to secure a coach as quickly as possible, particularly since the team will travel directly from Turkey to Kolkata, India, to face East Bengal on the 12th of next month.
Midfielder Hussein Ashkanani will continue his rehabilitation program during the camp, along with players returning from injury, Juma Aboud and Ali Aziz.
In a separate development, Al-Qadsiah Club announced the signing of goalkeeper Saud Al-Qanaei to represent the team in the upcoming season, following his transfer from Al-Shabab Club.
Al-Qanaei posted on his social media page: “With great pride and honor, I begin a new chapter in my sporting career with Al-Qadsiah Club, this historic institution that has built its legacy through achievements and its loyal fans, who have been and remain a secret to its greatness.”
He thanked the “Yellow” club’s management for their trust in him, pledging to live up to the club’s motto.
