Netanyahu postpones his visit to Washington due to Graham's 'funeral'

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the postponement of his visit to the United States, originally scheduled for next week, following the rescheduling of the funeral of the late US Senator Lindsey Graham to the end of July. This change has delayed a program that also included an expected meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu was scheduled to depart for Washington on Saturday evening. Israeli reports indicated he intended to attend Graham’s funeral and hold a meeting with Trump at the White House. However, arrangements were altered after the funeral date was changed, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The Prime Minister’s office has not set a new date for the visit, and the White House has not announced an alternative schedule for the summit meeting.

Graham, described as a “friend of Israel,” died last week at the age of 71 following a sudden health crisis.
