In one of the broadest security and regulatory campaigns witnessed by the country, a new phase of enforcing the rule of law has begun with the launch of an extensive operation in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, under the direct supervision of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef. The campaign involves unprecedented participation from the four military branches and various state institutions, sending a clear message that there will be no leniency toward non-compliant properties or lawbreakers.
The Ministry of Interior, represented by several of its sectors, executed a wide-ranging security operation in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, in collaboration with various state entities, as part of joint efforts to enhance security and reinforce the application of the law.
The campaign aimed to identify violations on buildings and encroachments on state property, evacuate buildings and plots that are prone to collapse or non-compliant, and address overcrowded housing units lacking safety and security standards, which house both singles and families, in anticipation of any disasters or accidents. Additionally, the operation targeted violations of residency affairs, lawbreakers, unlicensed commercial activities in residential areas, and activities that do not meet regulatory requirements.
In detail, participating authorities, each according to their jurisdiction, began securing the area, cutting off services to non-compliant buildings, monitoring unlicensed activities, residency violations, and encroachments on state property, and issuing necessary violation notices.
In keeping with humanitarian considerations, fully equipped shelter sites were prepared to accommodate those evacuated from non-compliant buildings, providing all necessary comforts for families and expatriate communities.
