The activities of the summer school clubs for the 2025/2026 academic year have launched, marked by significant attendance and engagement from students. The centers have seen strong participation from boys and girls in their various educational and recreational activities. This initiative comes in response to directives from Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabatabai, emphasizing the importance of utilizing students’ free time and nurturing their hobbies during the summer break.
For her part, Dr. Adhari Shamsah, Director of the Bowling Center at Al-Jazira Secondary School for Girls and Artistic Coordinator for Physical Education, stated that the summer training season for Ministry of Education students was launched during July and August, attracting female students from primary, intermediate, and secondary levels.
Dr. Shamsah explained that the center’s objective is to teach girls the fundamentals of bowling and train them in its skills, while fostering a love for the sport and enjoyment in practicing it. She added that efforts are being made to develop their performance to reach distinguished levels, noting that sports federations are keen to recruit talented players to participate in various championships.
Shamsah urged parents to enroll their daughters in the bowling center to be part of a distinctive sports experience that combines fun and achievement.
On her part, Haya Al-Habshi, Head of the Physical Education Department and Bowling Coach, said that the bowling center allows students to learn the basics of the game through organized training programs, with trainees divided into groups according to their academic stages.
Al-Habshi also thanked the Ministry of Education for providing this opportunity, which contributes to discovering and refining students’ sports talents, and called on parents to enroll their sons and daughters to make productive use of their free time during the summer break, thereby benefiting them.
