American University in Kuwait signs memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Social Affairs

The American University in Kuwait (AUK) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Social Affairs, as part of efforts to enhance cooperation between the two parties. The agreement aims to provide examinations and preparatory courses for applicants seeking positions as financial and administrative inspectors in cooperative societies, thereby contributing to the development of national competencies and raising the professional readiness of candidates. The memorandum was signed by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Qurashi, Director General of the Center for Continuing Education at AUK, and Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, Deputy Minister of Social Affairs.

This agreement stems from the university’s commitment to its social role and its mission to support national development by providing high-quality training and preparatory programs based on best academic and professional practices, aligned with labor market needs and the requirements of government entities.

On this occasion, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Qurashi emphasized that this partnership reflects the university’s dedication to leveraging its academic and training expertise to serve society and strengthen cooperation with various state institutions.

He added that this partnership arises from AUK’s responsibility toward the community and its belief in the importance of supporting national initiatives that contribute to preparing qualified personnel equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently and professionally. Through this agreement, the university seeks to harness its expertise and academic capabilities to serve state institutions, while looking forward to building more strategic partnerships with ministries and government agencies to support national development goals.
