Al-Najah Charitable Organization Launches “One Body” Initiative
The Al-Najah Charity Association announced the launch of the “One Body” project to care for orphans and needy families in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This project represents an integrated model of care and development, currently benefiting 222 orphans and their mothers, who reside in six waqf (endowment) buildings designated for the Syrian community, within a safe and stable environment that preserves their dignity and provides the essentials for a decent life.
On his part, Assistant General Manager of Resources Sheikh Talal Fakher confirmed that the project embodies the concept of genuine solidarity by providing a comprehensive care system that extends beyond securing housing to include education, social care, economic empowerment, and a faith-based environment, thereby contributing to building a more stable future for orphans and their families. He clarified that the “One Body” project is distinguished by its unique concept: a single donation supports five charitable initiatives simultaneously, including sponsoring students, assisting needy families, supporting halal income-generation projects, sponsoring Quran memorizers, and providing safe housing. This approach achieves sustainable developmental impact and offers families a real opportunity for self-reliance.
Fakher added that the project aims to transition beneficiary families from a state of need to one of stability and productivity by providing a secure living environment, ensuring the continuity of their children’s education, encouraging them to memorize the Quran, and economically empowering families to better cope with life’s challenges.
He noted that the “One Body” complex represents a pioneering humanitarian project that integrates shelter, care, and development under one framework, emphasizing that donors’ support for this project constitutes an investment in human capital and family building. Every contribution serves as a beacon of hope for an orphan, a widow, or a needy family aspiring to a safer and more stable future.
Sheikh Fakher highlighted that the door for participation is open to everyone, specifying that the monthly sponsorship cost for an orphan amounts to 15 dinars. He called on philanthropists and benefactors to seize the opportunity to participate in the project, explaining that the impact of a donation extends to transforming the lives of entire families, providing orphans with an environment that preserves their dignity, enhances their education, and opens broader horizons for building a better future.
