In a demonstration of its steadfast commitment to supporting education and empowering youth, Bank Al Ahli organized its annual ceremony honoring Kuwaiti high school top scorers for the 2025–2026 academic year. The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of Capital Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, alongside CEO Shahin Al-Ghanim, several senior bank executives, as well as the students’ parents and the honored guests.
The ceremony recognized outstanding Kuwaiti students, including 10 from the scientific stream, 10 from the literary stream, and 10 from the religious institute, in addition to five students each from the scientific and literary streams in the private education sector. This recognition continues Al Ahli’s approach of supporting human capital as the core driver of development, reflecting its social responsibility to invest in promising national talents and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and creativity among Kuwaiti youth.
Speaking on the occasion, Al-Ghanim said, “We gather today to celebrate a constellation of Kuwaiti sons and daughters who have proven that ambition, coupled with willpower and hard work, achieves success. What we witness today is not merely academic excellence; it is a collection of success stories that serve as a source of pride for every Kuwaiti household and a message of hope affirming that Kuwait’s future is shaped by its youth.” He added that “today’s top students are tomorrow’s leaders of Kuwait.”
Al-Ghanim further stated, “At Al Ahli, we believe that investing in national minds is the most sustainable form of investment. Therefore, we continue to support educational initiatives that contribute to preparing a generation equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ability to lead the future with confidence and competence. Education is the starting point for any sustainable development, and youth are the true wealth deserving of all support and care.”
He emphasized that the bank’s corporate social responsibility represents an integrated institutional approach aimed at creating a lasting positive impact through distinctive initiatives that address various segments of society, with educational initiatives taking precedence in building human capacity and developing individual potential.
Al-Ghanim clarified that the bank annually honors outstanding students to appreciate their exceptional efforts and to encourage them to continue their academic and professional journeys. He affirmed that recognizing exemplary role models helps consolidate a culture of achievement and inspires future generations to strive for excellence and creativity.
He added that supporting education extends beyond mere recognition; it also involves contributing to the construction of an environment that encourages innovation and opens broader horizons for youth to participate in their country’s development, in alignment with Kuwait’s future vision and the Sustainable Development Goals.
For his part, the Capital Governor praised the bank’s annual initiative, emphasizing that honoring top students sends a societal message that reinforces the value of knowledge and consolidates a culture of diligence and excellence among the nation’s youth.
He noted that the students’ honorable achievements are the result of years of perseverance, supported by their families and educational institutions, as well as initiatives undertaken by private sector entities, which underscore the importance of community partnership in supporting the progress of education and development.
Al Ahli places special emphasis on the education sector within its corporate social responsibility strategy, driven by the conviction that building human capital is the true foundation of any economic or social renaissance. Consequently, the bank continues to launch initiatives targeting students and youth, aiming to develop their capabilities, enhance their skills, and empower them to contribute effectively to Kuwait’s future.
Wrba concluded by emphasizing that supporting high achievers will remain one of the key pillars of his community programs, grounded in the belief that honoring success is not merely about celebrating achievement, but represents an investment in the nation’s future and a message of appreciation to all who make knowledge a path to excellence and ambition a driving force in shaping a brighter future for Kuwait.
