Ministry of Higher Education: Al-Kuwait Finance Company's support for students studying abroad is a qualitative addition in student qualification

Deputy Minister of Higher Education Dr. Badr Al-Basiri praised the support and contributions provided by Kuwait Finance House (KFH) to ensure the success of the national external scholarship campaign, “Wajjehni” (Guide Me). He emphasized that this contribution represents a qualitative addition to the Ministry’s efforts in preparing and qualifying students before they embark on their academic journeys abroad, reflecting the complementary roles of state institutions and the private sector in serving Kuwaiti students sent overseas.
This came on the sidelines of an informational meeting hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education in collaboration with KFH for students accepted into the external scholarship program for the academic year 2026–2027.
For his part, Yusuf Al-Ruwaih, Head of Public Relations and Media at the Group in KFH, congratulated the accepted students, wishing them success, excellence, and a return to their homeland to contribute to the national development process.
He expressed KFH’s pride in its ongoing partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education in the “Wajjehni” campaign, which has successfully reached thousands of students and parents, contributing to raising their academic awareness and enhancing their readiness for university studies abroad.
He stressed that supporting students, education, and empowering youth represent one of the main pillars within the bank’s strategy and its social responsibility and sustainability programs, based on the belief in the importance of education and its pivotal role in building a better future and preparing national cadres capable of leading development and achieving progress in various fields.
Al-Ruwaih added that the “Wajjehni” campaign represents a successful model of partnership between the public and private sectors in serving Kuwaiti students at various stages of their scholarship journey, starting from awareness and guidance, through registration and admission, to informational meetings that help introduce them to post-admission procedures and requirements and answer their inquiries, thereby assisting them in starting their academic journey. He noted that supporting students today will reflect positively in the future by strengthening national competencies and driving development in Kuwait.
For his part, Fehd Al-Saad, Senior Director of Public Relations and Events at KFH, affirmed that the bank views students and youth as the true wealth of the nation and is keen to support educational initiatives that contribute to developing their capabilities, honing their skills, and preparing them for a promising professional future.
Al-Saad pointed out that KFH’s participation in the “Wajjehni” campaign is an extension of the bank’s commitment to supporting training, awareness programs, and initiatives that enhance youth readiness for the job market and develop their abilities in creativity and innovation.
The educational and guidance pillar covered the requirements and procedures to be completed before departure, while the security pillar presented a set of awareness guidelines related to cybercrimes, drug abuse, and prevention methods.
The health pillar highlighted the key health guidelines and advice students need during their scholarship period, while the banking pillar, presented by Kuwait Finance House as the campaign’s strategic partner, addressed several topics related to bank accounts and banking services provided by the bank that meet the needs of students abroad, along with an explanation of banking procedures relevant to students before travel and during their studies overseas.
