US Federal Reserve Chair: The President has not asked me to do anything inappropriate, and I will not do so even if he asks

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said on Wednesday that President Donald Trump had not asked him to do anything improper, and that even if Trump had, he would not have done it.

Warsh’s remarks came in response to a series of questions from U.S. senators about whether he had spoken with Trump, who appointed him, since taking office roughly two months ago.

Warsh declined to directly answer whether he had spoken with Trump, but said he did not see it as appropriate to disclose the content of his communications with administration officials.
