Kuwaiti figures extend condolences to the "Father Emir": He built Qatar's renaissance and strengthened Gulf unity

A number of prominent Kuwaiti figures flocked to the premises of the Qatari embassy in Kuwait on the second consecutive day to offer condolences on the passing of the Founding Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, affirming that Qatar and the Gulf region have lost one of the most prominent leaders who contributed to shaping the region’s renaissance and strengthening its unity.

Businessman Saud Abdulaziz Al-Babtain stated that the loss of the “Founding Amir” is immense and irreplaceable, but solace lies in the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his brothers in continuing the path of construction and development. He added that words fall short of describing what the deceased contributed to his homeland, and expressed his hope that the next generation would continue this journey filled with achievements.

For his part, Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Sharikh conveyed his deepest condolences to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and to the Qatari people, affirming that the “Founding Amir” was one of the most prominent symbols of politics in the Arabian Gulf region and played a significant role in enhancing Gulf cohesion and unity, as well as consolidating fraternal relations among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

Counselor Ali Al-Mutairi also extended his sincere condolences to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and to the Qatari people, noting that the deceased was a distinguished Arab figure who left significant marks and achievements at the local, Arab, and international levels, and whose name will remain associated with the renaissance of modern Qatar and its progress and development.
