"Business Environment" Discussed Automotive Sector Challenges with the Chamber and Dealers

The Customs Authority stated in a press release that the committee, chaired by Assistant Director General for Border Affairs, Research and Customs Investigation Saleh Al-Omar, reviewed a number of initiatives and development projects, including the pre-clearance system, data exchange mechanisms, and electronic integration.

It added that the meeting is part of efforts to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors and to continue improving the business environment and enhancing Kuwait’s competitiveness in the Cross-Border Trade Index.

The Authority emphasized its commitment to continuously developing and simplifying customs procedures, accelerating cargo release processes, expanding electronic services, and enhancing integration and coordination with government entities, all aimed at reducing time and costs for the business community and improving service efficiency in line with international best practices.

It noted that all observations and proposals would be studied within the regulatory framework, ensuring the public interest is served, while continuing to implement reform and development programs that contribute to enhancing customs performance, strengthening Kuwait’s standing in international indices, and supporting sustainable economic growth.
