Saudi Arabia condemns Iran's continued violations of good neighborly rules

The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, strongly condemned Iran’s repeated attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as on Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, and Jordan. It affirmed its total rejection of Iran’s continued destabilizing behavior in the region, its violations of the principles of international law, the UN Charter, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the rules of good neighborliness.

The Cabinet, during its meeting held in Jeddah, welcomed the outcomes of the talks between the Saudi and Iraqi sides in Riyadh, which reaffirmed Baghdad’s commitment not to allow its territory and airspace to be used as a launching point for any operations or attacks targeting the Kingdom, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the region. It also noted the agreement to continue bilateral coordination in the interest of shared objectives.
