Kayan: No Division

England captain Harry Kane denied any divisions within the squad, affirming “complete unity” ahead of Wednesday’s upcoming match against Argentina.

The 2-1 quarter-final victory over Norway was marked by a dispute between match-winner Jude Bellingham and his German coach, Thomas Tuchel, over the team’s performance.

Bellingham appeared to question Tuchel’s assessment of the match, saying, “He doesn’t know what it means to play in such conditions.”

However, Kane dismissed the notion of any internal discord, telling the BBC, “When you play a match like this and you’re asked a question five minutes after the final whistle, and you don’t know what the coach said, what do you expect Jude to say?”

He added, “We understood what the coach meant. He praised the team highly and said that the players’ mentality, which is sometimes the hardest part, was at its highest level, and that’s what we’ve been showing for a while.”
