Meteorology: Severe heat... the next three days

The Kuwait Meteorology Department has forecast that the country will be affected tomorrow, Wednesday, by active winds stirring up dust, leading to reduced horizontal visibility. During the next three days, the weather will be “very hot.”

Director of the Meteorology Department, acting director Dharar Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday that the country is being affected by a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a very hot air mass, with active northwesterly winds that are strong at times, reaching speeds of more than 60 kilometers per hour.

Al-Ali added that the wind activity will begin gradually tomorrow morning, stirring up sand and dust, which will reduce horizontal visibility in some areas, particularly exposed ones.

He predicted that the northwesterly winds will resume again on Thursday, noting that the weather during the next three days will be very hot during the day, with maximum temperatures ranging between 49 and 51 degrees Celsius.
