Development Fund: KD 1.7 Million Contribution by Tamdeen to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) announced a contribution of $5 million by Tamdeen Group to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, launched recently by the Fund, to support national readiness and enhance the country’s capacity to address challenges and exceptional circumstances.
In a statement on Monday, the Fund clarified that Tamdeen Group’s contribution stems from its national and social responsibility and its consistent commitment to supporting initiatives that serve Kuwait and strengthen its ability to respond effectively under various conditions. This effort contributes to safeguarding national achievements, preserving state stability, ensuring the continuity of services, and maintaining vital infrastructure, thereby reinforcing the nation’s developmental security.

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced on July 5, 2026, the establishment of the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund as part of an initiative proposed by the Fund and approved by the Council of Ministers. The Fund will manage and fully oversee the fund’s activities, thereby enhancing national readiness and strengthening the state’s capacity to confront various challenges and exceptional circumstances.
In this context, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development reiterated its call for government institutions, public authorities, the private sector, and national financial institutions to contribute to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund. This appeal is based on shared national responsibility, viewing the fund as a national investment in enhancing developmental security, sustaining vital infrastructure, and supporting the state’s readiness to face diverse challenges and exceptional conditions.
