Kuwait in Group 2 of the Asian Junior Handball Championship

The draw placed Kuwait in Group 2 of the 11th Asian Junior (Under-19) Handball Championship, hosted by the Jordanian capital, Amman, from August 20 to 31 next year. The tournament serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Junior Championship. The draw was held on Monday at the headquarters of the Jordanian Handball Federation in Amman.

The Asian Handball Federation had informed all member federations, participating national teams, and relevant stakeholders that the championship’s venue had been moved to Amman due to urgent organizational circumstances that prevented it from being held in Andijan, Uzbekistan, as originally planned.

This championship serves as the Asian qualifiers for the 12th World Junior Championship, with the top four teams earning a spot in the World Cup, scheduled to take place from July 29 to August 9, 2027.
