Kuwait Finance House partners with Talii for deferred payments

Kuwait Airways has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Tabby, a buy-now-pay-later company, to provide an innovative payment solution that allows travelers to split the cost of flight tickets into four equal installments, with no additional fees or interest, starting from August 1. This initiative aims to enhance the booking experience and offer greater flexibility in managing travel expenses.
Under the partnership, customers will be able to use the pay-later service when purchasing flight tickets, as well as buy miles in the Oasis Club and avail themselves of “Kuwait Holidays” services for hotel bookings and other ancillary services. In its first phase, the service will be available through Kuwait Airways’ sales offices and its contact center (171), with plans to roll it out on the company’s official website and mobile app in the second phase.
This partnership, the first of its kind between Kuwait Airways and Tabby, aligns with the national carrier’s commitment to developing its digital services and offering innovative payment solutions that meet customer expectations and elevate the travel experience from the moment of booking.
On this occasion, Acting Chief Executive Officer Captain Abdulwahab Al-Shatti emphasized that the partnership is part of the company’s strategy to enhance digital transformation and deliver innovative solutions that improve the customer experience. He noted that the company continues to work on launching new electronic services that keep pace with the latest developments in the aviation sector and meet travelers’ expectations.
Al-Shatti added: “Kuwait Airways is committed to providing flexible and secure payment options for its customers at all stages of their journey, from booking to arrival. The pay-later service represents a significant addition to the company’s suite of electronic services, facilitating the booking process and offering more diverse payment options in line with global best practices, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction.”
He concluded that Kuwait Airways will continue to build strategic partnerships with companies specializing in financial solutions and digital technologies, supporting its plans to develop its electronic services and reinforcing its position as a national carrier that embraces the latest innovations and delivers a comprehensive travel experience that meets the expectations of its customers both within Kuwait and abroad.
For his part, Badr Al-Badr, founding partner and CEO of Tabby, said: “By signing this strategic partnership with Kuwait Airways, we look forward to offering pay-later services to travelers of the national carrier through a solution that allows them to split the cost of flight tickets into four equal installments without any fees or interest. This partnership marks an important milestone in Tabby’s journey to expand its services and provide flexible digital financial solutions that meet customer needs.”
