Maysan Participates in KIPIC's Merger Ceremony with National Oil Company
Reaffirming its enduring excellence and leadership in the legal sector, and as part of its continuous effort to provide the best legal services to its clients, Misyan Law Firm and Legal Consultations participated in the ceremony hosted by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), marking the merger of Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) with KNPC.
Misyan’s Chairman of the Board, Waleed Al-Tattan, and Partner Abdulaziz Al-Bashir attended the event, which was attended by a select group of senior officials and executive leaders in Kuwait’s oil sector. Misyan provided comprehensive and integrated legal advice and services to KNPC and KIPIC during the merger of the two companies, which are subsidiaries of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, through an absorption merger.
The strategic process, which ranks among the largest absorption mergers in the local and regional oil sectors given the assets managed by the two companies, resulted in an increase in KNPC’s capital by an amount equivalent to the book value of KIPIC’s assets, reaching approximately KD 2.632 billion.
