Khattabi: Kuwait contributed to the development of the Arab Media Excellence Award

The Arab League has praised Kuwait’s patronage and support for the “Arab Media Excellence Award,” which is presented annually to winning works in the media sector, announcing that the current edition of the award received 154 nominations, the highest number of entries since its launch in 2016.

This was stated in a speech by Ahmed Khatibi, Assistant Secretary-General for the Media and Communications Sector at the Arab League, during the opening of the award’s jury sessions, chaired by Kuwait, represented by Talal Al-Haifi, Director of Al-Arabi Channel at the Ministry of Information, with participation from representatives of Egypt, Yemen, Mauritania, Morocco, Syria, and Libya.

Khatibi said that “cooperation with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information has contributed to the development of the award and enhanced its standing.”

For his part, Al-Haifi said that the inclusion of artificial intelligence among the award’s topics has enriched the competition, adding a new dimension to the participating works in the award presented by the Arab League under Kuwait’s patronage.
