Kuwait Investment Company Keeps Pace with Regulatory Developments and Capital Markets Authority Instructions

The Kuwait Investment Company, in collaboration with the Investment Companies Union, organized a specialized workshop on the latest updates to accounting standards, with the participation of chief financial officers from companies within the group.
This initiative stems from the company’s commitment to supporting its subsidiaries and enhancing coordination among them, in line with the rapid developments in the regulatory environment and the directives of the Capital Markets Authority, and to contribute to improving the efficiency of applying best practices in financial reporting and disclosure.
The workshop covered fundamental updates to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), foremost among which is IFRS 18 on presentation and disclosure in financial statements. Key new requirements, their implementation mechanisms, and their impact on the preparation and presentation of financial statements were reviewed, thereby enhancing the quality and transparency of financial reports and elevating financial disclosure in accordance with international standards.
