Nutritional Survey of Kuwait Food Authority Staff

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced the launch of its nutritional survey project for employees, aimed at assessing their health and nutritional status and analyzing their daily lifestyle patterns. This initiative will enable the Authority to develop evidence-based health programs and initiatives that respond to employees’ actual needs and contribute to enhancing their quality of life both within and outside the workplace.

The Authority clarified that the project aligns with its ongoing efforts to consolidate a culture of prevention and raise health and nutritional awareness among its staff. It contributes to building a comprehensive scientific database that supports the development of occupational health programs, enhances physical fitness and general health levels, and positively impacts institutional performance and productivity.

Regarding the methodology, the Authority’s official spokesperson, Dr. Shaima Al-Asfour, stated that the project includes a series of comprehensive assessment procedures, including a detailed health questionnaire, measurements of anthropometric indicators such as height, weight, and body mass index (BMI), blood pressure readings, and the utilization of laboratory test results conducted by participants. These tests include a complete blood count, fasting blood sugar, iron and ferritin levels, and lipid profile analysis, thereby providing a comprehensive health and nutritional profile for each participant.

In this context, the Authority called on all its employees to register and participate by scanning the dedicated QR code for the project. It emphasized that this initiative stems from its conviction that human capital is the fundamental pillar for achieving institutional excellence, and that investing in employee health is an investment in the future of the entire system.
