UAE announces official mourning and flies flags at half-mast following the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani

The United Arab Emirates has announced an official period of mourning and the lowering of flags across the country and at all its embassies and diplomatic missions abroad for four days, in honor of the late Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, may God have mercy on him.

The Presidential Diwan stated in a statement today that the decision takes effect from today until next Wednesday, praying that God may envelop the deceased in His boundless mercy and grant him a place in His vast Paradise.
