Deportation of an expatriate who used a container to store and retread used tires

Kuwait officials, including the director of the Commercial Control Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Faisal Al-Ansari, announced the seizure of a container used by an expatriate, who is being deported from the country, for storing, refurbishing, and reconditioning used tires. The operation was carried out in coordination with the Capital Governorate’s Criminal Investigation Department and the Shuwaikh Industrial Police Station.

Al-Ansari explained that the Capital Inspection Department, following prior monitoring and surveillance, managed to seize the container during the weekend holiday at one of the dirt lots. It was found that those in charge were storing used tires, cleaning them, refurbishing them, and reconditioning them to give the appearance of higher quality, thereby increasing their marketability and influencing consumers’ willingness to purchase.

Al-Ansari noted that coordination was carried out with the Kuwait Municipality to destroy the seized tires at designated landfill sites. Additionally, coordination was conducted with the Ministry of Interior to take the necessary legal actions against the violating expatriate and deport him.
