The warm reception is not surprising, as the Head of State holds a special place in the heart of His Highness the Amir.

The political leadership, and Kuwait as a government and people, hold a special place in the hearts of the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Matar Al Nayeri, the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, affirmed that the visit of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to his brother, Kuwait’s Amir His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, was in line with solidarity and support for sisterly Kuwait, and its resilience in the face of blatant Iranian aggression. It reflects the deep fraternal relations between the two countries, their leaderships and peoples, and the commitment to continuing consultation and joint coordination.

Al Nayeri told journalists that “Kuwait holds a special place in the hearts of the leadership and people of the UAE. This visit at this time confirms our shared destiny, the exchange of views and advice on various issues, and continuous coordination, as our fate is one.” He added that “the UAE and Kuwait are brothers forever. This fraternal visit also comes within the context of this enduring brotherhood, the exchange of perspectives and advice, and the enhancement of political coordination between the two leaderships.” He noted that the UAE and Kuwait are bound by solid relations spanning decades, and that the brotherhood between the two countries will remain a fundamental pillar in facing various challenges.

In response to a question about coordination between the two countries in international forums, Al Nayeri clarified that “consultation and coordination are ongoing at all levels.” He pointed out that “the Kingdom of Bahrain, as the Arab representative on the Security Council, has introduced draft resolutions against these blatant Iranian attacks. These drafts are being consulted and coordinated with all countries in the region. Joint statements have also been issued since the beginning of the crisis to reject Iranian aggression and its hostile practices toward countries in the region.”

He added that “this coordination, consultation, communication, and contact are ongoing at all levels. This is not unusual; rather, it stems from the keenness of both sisterly countries to strengthen the Gulf position and unify shared regional visions on regional issues, thereby contributing to consolidating security and stability in the region.”

Regarding the warm reception accorded to the UAE President upon his arrival in Kuwait, Al Nayeri said, “This step is not surprising. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed holds a special place in the heart of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, and in the heart of the Kuwaiti political leadership, just as he does in the UAE. The Kuwaiti political leadership, and Kuwait as a government and people, hold a special place in the hearts of the UAE leadership and people. Bilateral relations are based on mutual love, respect, shared history, and common destiny.”

Al Nayeri noted that “the idea of establishing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) originated in Kuwait and the UAE, and was later supported by the other member states. This reflects the depth of the historical partnership between the two countries. We pray to God for the continuation of this coordination and communication.” He pointed out that the joy over this fraternal visit spread across Abu Dhabi and Kuwait. He stressed that “His Highness the President of the UAE is the first leader to visit Kuwait since the beginning of the blatant Iranian aggression against countries in the region.”

Regarding security coordination, the UAE Ambassador affirmed that “security cooperation among GCC states is permanent, based on the unity of security and destiny.” He clarified that “any threat targeting Kuwait is a threat to the UAE, and vice versa, as well as to the other GCC states.”
