“Burqan” Honors Frontline Personnel of the “Fire Force”

In line with its ongoing commitment to appreciating and supporting frontline workers, Boubyan Bank concluded its national initiative to honor members of the General Fireforce, in recognition of their efforts, dedication, and unwavering service to their national and humanitarian duties, as well as their role in safeguarding lives and property.
The initiative witnessed active participation from subsidiaries of Kuwait Projects Company (KIPCO), Kuwaiti business owners, and entrepreneurs, reflecting a spirit of community solidarity and appreciation for the exceptional efforts made by fire service personnel in serving the nation, particularly during recent exceptional circumstances.
The initiative aligns with Boubyan Bank’s corporate social responsibility strategy and the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, which focus on supporting national initiatives, empowering the community, and building effective partnerships that contribute to achieving positive and sustainable impact, in harmony with the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035.
The initiative’s conclusion was attended by the Director of Public Relations and Media at the Fire Department, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, alongside Abdullah Al-Tahir, Assistant General Manager – Personal Banking Services at Boubyan Bank, and Hessa Al-Najjada, Senior Director – Media Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility, along with several representatives from the bank and the Fire Department. Their presence underscored appreciation for the contributions and dedication of frontline workers during the country’s recent exceptional circumstances, as they continued to fulfill their national duties with utmost sincerity to ensure Kuwait’s security and serve society.
This initiative is part of Boubyan Bank’s efforts to support and honor the pivotal role of fire service personnel in serving the community, based on the belief that national responsibility is demonstrated through actions and deeds. It pays tribute to those who have been and remain the first line of defense for Kuwait, ensuring its security and stability, and conveys a message of gratitude and appreciation: “Thank you to those whose actions have rained love and loyalty upon the homeland.”
On this occasion, Dana Faisal Al-Jasim, General Manager – Corporate Communications at Boubyan Bank, stated: “This initiative honors members of the General Fireforce who continue to fulfill their national duties under all circumstances, playing a pivotal role in enhancing community safety and protecting lives and property, especially in light of the recent exceptional circumstances the country has experienced, which required high readiness and effective response.”

For his part, Al-Gharib said: “The initiative holds great moral value for members of the force, as it reflects societal appreciation for their role in safeguarding individuals and property. He commended Boubyan Bank and its partners for organizing this initiative, which embodies meanings of loyalty and recognition of the efforts of national cadres.”
Al-Gharib noted that the recognition serves as an appreciation for the efforts of the force’s personnel during the recent exceptional period, and as a reaffirmation of the importance of strengthening community partnerships between private sector institutions and government entities. He expressed his gratitude to “Barkan” for this appreciative gesture, which contributes to motivating personnel and sustaining their contributions in service of the nation and society.
As part of the initiative, Barkan was keen to provide awareness materials under the “Let’s Be Informed” campaign, launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait in collaboration with the Kuwait Banks Association and supported by local banks, with the aim of enhancing financial literacy and reinforcing the concepts of safe usage of banking and digital services.
