Al-Khaleej Appoints Faisal Al-Adasani as Deputy CEO

As part of its ongoing efforts to pave the way for national cadres to assume leadership positions, and in line with the bank’s 2030 strategy, Gulf Bank announced the appointment of Faisal Abdulwahab Al-Adasani as Executive Vice President. Additionally, Faisal Al-Gharbali was appointed General Manager of Corporate Banking and International Banking, effective July 9, following the submission of his nomination applications to the Central Bank of Kuwait.
Al-Adasani has been serving as Acting Executive Vice President at the bank since 2023, having previously held the position of General Manager of the Corporate Banking Group from 2021 to 2023.
Al-Adasani possesses extensive banking experience spanning approximately 22 years, during which he held various roles and responsibilities at Gulf Bank. He joined the bank in 2004 and progressed through several positions, eventually reaching the role of Deputy General Manager of the Corporate Banking Group in 2019, where he oversaw multinational corporations as well as oil and gas companies.
Al-Adasani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Denver in the United States, and has completed several management courses at Harvard Business School, INSEAD European Institute of Business Administration, and the University of California, Berkeley.
Al-Gharbali, on the other hand, boasts over 25 years of banking experience, specifically at Gulf Bank, with approximately 18 years dedicated to corporate banking. He joined Gulf Bank in January 2001, initially working in the Internal Audit Department. In 2007, he moved to the Corporate Banking Department, where he advanced through various positions until he reached the role of Deputy General Manager of Corporate Banking.
Al-Gharbali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Kuwait, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the French INSEAD business school. He has also completed numerous training programs in credit and leadership offered by prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
