Qatar's Emir Discusses Latest Regional and International Developments with Pakistani Prime Minister

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, held talks on Friday with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the latest regional and international developments.
The Qatari Diwan Al-Amiri stated in a press release that the discussion took place during a phone call received by the Emir from the Pakistani Prime Minister, during which the two sides reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and prospects for enhancing them, alongside discussing the latest regional and international developments and efforts to support security and peace in the region.
The Pakistani Prime Minister affirmed his country’s full support and solidarity with the State of Qatar amid current regional developments, emphasizing the importance of restraint, dialogue, and diplomacy to preserve the peace gains achieved in recent periods.
He expressed his appreciation for Qatar’s role and its continuous efforts in supporting peace initiatives, reaffirming his country’s aspiration to continue coordination and joint work to enhance peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
The two sides reviewed current regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and talks between the United States and Iran, stressing the necessity of continuing endeavors aimed at de-escalating tensions and resolving differences through peaceful means.
The Emir of Qatar and the Pakistani Prime Minister reiterated their commitment to maintaining coordination and cooperation to bolster regional security, safeguard the safety of navigation and sea lanes, and contribute to creating conditions for achieving lasting and sustainable peace in the region.
