The United Nations’ Financial Tracking Service (FTS) showed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked second globally and first among Arab countries among donor nations in providing humanitarian and relief aid in 2025.

In a media statement following the release of the FTS results, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiah, Advisor to the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), stated that the Kingdom’s leading position in the global humanitarian landscape is the result of the unlimited support provided by the wise leadership to humanitarian and relief efforts, reflecting the spirit of generosity and benevolence inherent in the Kingdom and its people.

Al-Rabiah noted that this achievement is a reflection of the Kingdom’s illustrious history of giving and its commitment to extending a helping hand to all needy peoples and countries around the world, with the preservation of human life and dignity as its foremost priority.

He explained that these figures were documented in real time on international platforms through the Saudi Aid Platform, the largest aid platform in the region. This institutional approach, backed by the visionary leadership of Saudi Arabia and coordinated with relevant domestic authorities, has contributed to achieving tangible global impact, playing a major role in securing the Kingdom’s high rankings in international classifications for humanitarian aid provision.

Dr. Al-Rabiah concluded his statement by affirming that the Kingdom is an inexhaustible river of giving and a beacon of goodness, and that it will continue its path of assisting the needy and affected populations in all corners of the world, under the guidance, follow-up, and support of His Majesty King Salman and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The FTS data showed that the Kingdom ranked first among donor countries providing humanitarian aid to Yemen, accounting for 49.3 percent of the total aid provided to the Yemeni people. It also ranked second among donor countries providing aid to Syria.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia ranked second among non-member donor countries (totaling 16 countries) in providing development assistance, according to a recent 2024 report on non-member donors. It also ranked tenth among all donor countries, both member and non-member (totaling 48 countries), in terms of the volume of development assistance provided.
