Faisal Matar: A relief campaign to assist our brothers in the Republic of Yemen will launch next Tuesday, November 10. Organized by charitable societies and endowments in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs, at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the campaign aims to collect donations and provide medical and relief supplies to those in need.

According to a circular issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs, a copy of which was obtained by Al-Qabas, the campaign will run for three days, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, and ending at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12. The objective is to unify and organize charitable efforts and ensure that aid reaches its rightful recipients.

The Ministry clarified that the Patients’ Aid Fund Society will be the authorized entity to receive donations for the campaign, with relief supplies to be purchased from the local market in Kuwait. It further stated that the Ministry will coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to deliver aid to the Republic of Yemen via the land border crossing between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

The Ministry stressed the necessity of reporting the campaign’s revenues daily through the licensing approval system for charitable societies and endowments, ensuring the organization and documentation of donation collection activities. The Ministry emphasized that charitable societies and endowments wishing to participate in the campaign must obtain prior approval before engaging in any related activities, in compliance with established procedures and regulations governing charitable work.
