The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) held discussions with the Financial Sector Regulatory Authority (FSRA) on ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination to implement Cabinet Resolution No. (681), which mandates prior coordination with the NCA before concluding contracts, agreements, or projects related to cybersecurity in government entities. In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the NCA said that its Chairperson, Engineer Abeer Al-Awadhi, discussed with FSRA Chairperson Nadi Al-Suhail and a specialized team of officials from both entities the mechanisms for implementing the resolution. It added that a specialized team has been formed to facilitate and expedite procedures and to study cybersecurity-related matters with government entities and the FSRA, thereby contributing to enhancing institutional cooperation efficiency.
