Meteorology: Thunderstorms this evening, lasting until tomorrow morning

Director of the Meteorology Department, Nader Al-Ali, forecast that the country will be affected today, Sunday, by scattered light rain, occasionally thunderstorms, with a chance of fog in the evening, continuing until Monday morning. Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country will be influenced by an extension of a moist low-pressure system, accompanied by a low-pressure system in the upper atmospheric layers, leading to an increase in low and mid-level clouds accompanied by scattered light rain, occasionally thunderstorms. He added that winds will be southeasterly to variable, light to moderate in speed, occasionally strengthening, with a chance of fog forming from this evening, reducing visibility to below 1,000 meters in some areas until Monday morning. He clarified that visibility will gradually improve starting from the early hours of Monday morning, urging the public to follow the meteorological bulletin through the Department’s official website, its application, and its social media accounts to stay informed of the latest weather developments.
