The Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, Dr. Amal Al-Huwail, announced on Saturday the qualification of 300 Kuwaiti youth in three new technical specialties, with 100 students per specialty, to support the cooperative sector, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET).
Minister Al-Huwail stated in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the joint cooperation with PAAET has resulted in the enrollment of this new cohort to meet labor market needs. The specialties include a technical diploma in “Smart Building Systems,” a technical diploma in “Mechatronics,” and a technical diploma in “Sustainability.”
She clarified that this step is part of the ministry’s strategy to enhance the policy of “Kuwaitization,” link educational outputs to labor market needs, and open new career opportunities for Kuwaiti youth to work in cooperative societies and technical fields.
She emphasized that real investment in Kuwaiti youth begins with their qualification in required specialties, reaffirming the continued cooperation with PAAET to develop national competencies and enhance their employment opportunities, thereby contributing to raising the efficiency of the cooperative sector and achieving sustainability in its operations.
