The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commander Brad Cooper briefed President Donald Trump on Thursday on military options related to Iran. Citing U.S. officials and other sources familiar with the meeting, the newspaper noted that this was a rare visit by Cooper to the White House as the United States considers returning to launching broad military operations. According to the newspaper’s sources, the meeting also included Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, and other officials in the Trump administration, and covered several files. A source familiar with the matter told the newspaper that the high-level meeting followed a session held on Wednesday at the White House, during which Vice President J.D. Vance met with military officers.
