Egyptian actress Nadia Karam passed away after a career spanning years in Gulf drama. Her sister, actress Abeer Ahmed, mourned her on social media, expressing her grief and praying for Nadia’s mercy and forgiveness.
Nadia Karam, whose real name is Mani Sayed Ahmed Abdullah, is an Egyptian actress of Lebanese descent. She was born in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before moving to Kuwait, where she launched her artistic career in 1996. She chose her stage name “Nadia Karam” out of admiration for the actresses Nadia El-Gendy and Najwa Karam, taking her first name from the former and her surname from the latter.
Throughout her career, Nadia Karam appeared in nearly 100 artistic works across television, theater, and cinema. She became widely known among Gulf audiences for her role as “Maison” in the 2003 comedy series “Al-Hiyala,” alongside the late actors Abdulhussain Abdulredha and Khaled Al-Nafisi. She also participated in several prominent dramatic and comedic productions, including “Al-Shareeb Baza,” “Souq Al-Maqasif,” “Al-Khafi A’zam,” and “Ma’a Hissa Qalam,” leaving a notable presence in Gulf drama over the decades.
