Faisal Matar: Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, inaugurated today (Wednesday) the first physiotherapy clinic at the mobile service unit for the elderly, under the Elderly Care Department in the Qurain area of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, in partnership with the Ibrahim Al-Baghl Foundation for the Filial Son.

Following the inauguration, Al-Huwailah stated that launching the clinic aligns with the ministry’s commitment to developing the elderly care system, improving their quality of life, and facilitating their access to health and rehabilitation services close to their residential areas.

She praised the Ibrahim Al-Baghl Foundation’s role in supporting community initiatives and strengthening partnerships to serve the elderly, highlighting its donation of the clinic, which marks the first center of its kind established to serve this demographic in the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.

She noted that there is a plan to expand health and rehabilitation services, including the opening of additional centers in the coming phase to serve the elderly across various governorates in the country.

She clarified that the services provided include supplying elderly-specific equipment, delivering home care and services through mobile clinics, as well as issuing “priority” cards and parking permits for the elderly, in accordance with approved regulations based on a medical report confirming disability status.
