More than 2,000 users, agents, and partners from over 130 countries and regions gathered in the Chinese city of Wuhan to witness approximately 20 advanced technologies in the fields of smart mobility, smart energy, and smart living. Chery’s Super Hybrid (CSH) technology underwent rigorous safety tests in front of more than 150 journalists.
Chery Group concluded its annual “Chery Global Summit 2026,” held from October 19 to 23 at its headquarters in Wuhan, Anhui Province, China, under the slogan “ECO-TECH FOR OUR FUTURE LIFE.” The event showcased the company’s latest innovations in smart mobility, energy, and smart living.
Chery Alghanim, the exclusive agent for the Chery brand in Kuwait and one of the companies within the Alghanim Industries group (Alghanim Brothers Group), closely followed the summit’s outcomes, given that the technologies and products presented define the brand’s next phase and directly impact the customer experience in Kuwait.
A Global Summit Beyond the Automobile
The summit brought together more than 2,000 users, agents, and partners from over 130 countries and regions worldwide, reflecting Chery’s transition from car exports to a comprehensive global strategy encompassing technology, products, energy solutions, and user services. This strategy is built on a 23-year track record of leading Chinese passenger car brands on the global stage.
During the summit, Chery presented around 20 technologies centered on four pillars: the CheryMind AI model designed specifically for vehicles, integrated energy solutions, advanced driver assistance systems, and smart robots. These technologies are distributed across three main domains: smart mobility, smart energy, and smart living, ranging from driver assistance systems and autonomous taxis to ultra-fast charging and smart robots beginning to enter homes.
Chery’s advanced driver assistance technologies have received regulatory approvals in more than 130 countries and regions, underscoring its global research and development approach aligned with the requirements of each market.
A key highlight was Chery’s Super Hybrid (CSH) plug-in hybrid technology, which demonstrated its robustness prior to the summit during the “Black Sea Safety Challenge” in Europe. The battery of the Tiggo 9 CSH successfully passed a 24-hour saltwater immersion test and a bottom-scraping test, witnessed by more than 150 journalists.
In Kuwait, CSH technology is available through Chery Alghanim in the Tiggo 9 CSH and Arrizo 8 CSH models. These vehicles underwent local tests conducted by Chery Alghanim under extreme conditions. The Tiggo 9 CSH completed a journey of approximately 1,400 kilometers from Kuwait to Qatar in severe heat, and its battery was buried under sand at extremely high temperatures before being reinstalled in the vehicle, where it continued to operate at full performance and efficiency.
Under the slogan “Together. For Family,” Chery organized a series of family-oriented events, aligning with its goal to serve 10 million families worldwide by 2030. Among these events was a demonstration of the Smart In-Vehicle Parking (SIVP) system, which allows users to summon their car from its parking spot to their doorstep or shopping mall entrance with a single touch on their phone. Additionally, “Chery Night” at the Wuhan Grand Theater enabled the brand to interact with customers and their families from around the world, listening to their stories with Chery vehicles.
Chery also held multi-scenario driving tests on October 19 and 20, involving 15 vehicles, including the Tiggo V, on tracks designed to simulate everyday situations families face when navigating cities. Participants underwent acceleration, braking, consecutive turns, and U-turn tests to experience the vehicle’s stability and smooth handling in the daily scenarios encountered by families. Chery officially launched the Tiggo V globally at the Beijing International Auto Show last April. The Tiggo V was designed to meet the needs of families in every detail, offering seven seats arranged across three rows, along with a smart cockpit and advanced driver assistance systems that include collision warning and automatic emergency braking. Kuwait was the first country to unveil the Tiggo V, as Chery Alghanim revealed it during last January’s auto show, a move reflecting the strategic importance of the Kuwaiti market to Chery International. Chery Alghanim is preparing to launch the Tiggo V in the Kuwaiti market soon, adding it to a comprehensive lineup of family vehicles that cater to the diverse needs of customers in Kuwait. Chery emphasized that the summit is not a one-off event, but a continuous platform for showcasing and testing technologies under real-world conditions, strengthening international cooperation, and translating the slogan “For the Family” into tangible value for its customers worldwide. Chery Alghanim: A Renewed Commitment to the Kuwaiti Family As one of the Alghanim Group’s automotive companies, Chery Alghanim continues to bring Chery’s latest technological advancements to the Kuwaiti market, supported by an expanding service network and ownership benefits that prioritize customer peace of mind.
