Cybersecurity Center: Uniting Efforts to Build an Integrated National Cybersecurity System

Abir Al-Awadhi, Director General of the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA), reaffirmed on Wednesday the Authority’s commitment to unifying national efforts and enhancing cooperation with government entities to support the development of an integrated national cyber security framework, contributing to the realization of a secure and resilient Kuwaiti cyberspace. This statement was made during her address at the briefing conference on the Government Cyber Shield program and the cyber services and initiatives offered by the NCSA to government entities, outlining how to utilize these services to strengthen digital protection and enhance the readiness of government entities to address cyber threats.

Al-Awadhi stated that the conference is part of the NCSA’s efforts to bolster cooperation with government entities, raise cyber readiness levels, and develop national capabilities in cyber security, thereby supporting the protection of government assets and information and enhancing the capacity to confront cyber risks and threats. She added that the Authority provides a range of services to government entities, including cyber assessments and testing, the Security Operations Center for incident response, cyber threat intelligence, as well as security consultations and services related to cyber governance and policies.

She emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and integration with government entities, enabling them to leverage available services according to their needs, which contributes to improving the efficiency of detecting and identifying cyber threats, enhancing incident response, and supporting business continuity.
