The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and rejection of the incursion by an Israeli occupation government minister and groups of extremist settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, in a blatant violation of international law and a provocation of Muslim sentiments. In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s categorical rejection of these repeated violations and any attempts to impose a new reality at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, emphasizing the necessity of respecting its existing historical and legal status, safeguarding the sanctity of religious sites in Jerusalem, and calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to such violations. The Ministry also reiterated Kuwait’s firm and supportive stance toward the rights of the fraternal Palestinian people, foremost among which is their right to establish their independent state on the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
