The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the continued terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on several areas in the neighboring Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including an attempt to target the holy cities of Makkah al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah al-Munawwarah with two ballistic missiles. It emphasized that this cowardly and despicable act constitutes a blatant violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, a disregard for their religious significance, an affront to the feelings of Muslims, a breach of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, and a violation of international law. The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures undertaken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty and security, protect the Two Holy Mosques, and preserve their sanctity. It praised the vigilance and effectiveness of Saudi air defenses in countering these attacks, and stressed that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and the security of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
